Morning mortals! It’s W2RW again and I have so many books I am looking forward to reading this year – seriously I have no idea how I’m going to fit them all in. Today I’m talking about a book that isn’t publishing until March! Melinda Salisbury was a new author (to me) in 2017 and I have gradually fallen more and more in love with her writing – I mostly blame Steph for my growing obsession. State of Sorrow is her latest book and it looks to be very interesting indeed…
Goodreads Summary:
Sorrow all but rules the Court of Tears, in a land gripped by perpetual grief, forever mourning her brother who died just days before Sorrow was born. By day she governs in place of her father, by night she seeks secret solace in the arms of the boy she’s loved since childhood. But when her brother is seemingly found alive, and intent on taking control, Sorrow has to choose whether to step aside for a stranger who might not be who he claims to be, or embark on a power struggle for a position she never really wanted.
I know from her previous books that Melinda Salisbury can cook up an interesting concept and this is clearly no different. I’m so excited for this book and I can’t wait to read it!
Are you hyped about State of Sorrow too? Let me know in the comments below!

I’ve never read any of her work, but this book sounds intriguing though!

I liked the Sin Eater’s Daughter series a lot. I didn’t realize she had something else coming out. Thanks, I will be keeping an eye out for it.

I think it first came onto my radar at YALC last year? But just recently I’ve been really looking forward to reading it!
