Hello Humans and welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post. This week’s theme is 10 series I have given up on. I personally think ‘given up on’ may be a bit of a strong phrase as most of these are just series that fell by the wayside. Nevertheless here are my ten picks:
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and is an awesome way to discover new bloggers who like the same kind of books as you do!
Honestly, the vast majority of these are just books that I don’t have the time to read the entire set of or series from my childhood that I never reached the end of.
Am I missing out if I don’t finish all of these? Let me know in the comments below!
We have Shatter Me in common. I haven’t tried any of the rest of your list!

Most of them are very good I just never made it to the end!

The House of Binding Thorns looks really good! There are SO many series from my childhood that I still have to finish… 🙂

I just know they’re a lot of work to read and definitely need a re-read first and don’t have the mental energy! They are great though

Spindle Fire’s one I gave up on too. It wasn’t awful but I don’t think I care enough to pick up the sequel.

I didn’t reach the end of the Roman Mysteries either which was such a shame because I really loved them when I was a kid, I loved the Percy Jackson books though!

I think I might see if they ever get very cheap on kindle? I feel like they’d be good quick summer reads!

Oh they definitely would be!

I have a really hard time not finishing series! I haven’t tried any of this list, but I would like to read the Percy Jackson series some day. Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.

I’d love to get to finishing all the series I have started but I think I’d need to be immortal!

Talon Saga sounds good, but I’m still not convinced to read it.

I can’t see one that I MUST recommend that you read! Too many good books out there to explore.

I never got past the first book in The Talon Saga and probably won’t return to the series either!
I only read the first 2 books in the Shatter Me series, but I like to think that someday before I die I’ll return to finish the series, but lol who knows?

I thin I read book four in isolation (back when I first started blogging) but I’ve not had any desire to go back and read the rest!

I have an intense dislike for Shatter Me, so can’t blame you for giving up on that one.

I just couldn’t get what people loved about it?!

Oh wow, I’m so sad to see PJO on your list! I’m currently in book 4 and really enjoying it tremendously. Understandable that it might not feel worth going back and picking back up if it’s been a while, though. ❤ Do you think you will read any of Rick's other series (or have you already)?

I do want to read them I’m just not sure I have the time at the moment (but if I come across them in the library I may not be able to resist!)

I haven’t read any of them myself, but my daughter liked the Percy Jackson books. I just never got around to reading any of them.

I hugely enjoyed the ones I read/listened to as a teen!

I’d be a vote for making the time for House of Binding Thorns – it’s really good, expanding the characters and the world in interesting ways as well as being such an emotional rollercoaster. I’m a huge fan of this series tho 🙂

I did pick it up and read it but if you asked me to explain anything that happened I genuinely couldn’t! I think it may have been the wrong time, perhaps a re-read is needed.

Ha! We can’t all love all books equally (which is good for authors) 🙂 If the phrase ‘Asmodeus in a silk dressing gown’ stirs nothing at all, this may not be the book for you 😉
