TTT – Ten Books I’d Mash Together

Hello humans! Welcome back to another Top Ten Tuesday post! Today I’m actually talking about ten books but I’ve decided to only do five mashups – it’s still ten books total so I feel like I’m in the clear!

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and is an awesome way to discover new bloggers who like the same kind of books as you do!

Any Amazon links are affiliate links.

I’d mash up…

Seraphina and The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet

the long way to a small angry planet becky chambersseraphina Rachel Hartman

I think this is actually a pretty easy mashup because the way the dragons are set up Seraphina they could just as easily be aliens. I want space dragons dammit!

The Bear and the Nightingale and And I Darken

And I Darken Kiersten WhiteThe Bear And the Nightingale Katherine Arden

I just want these characters to meet. Imagine Vlada and Vasya having a good old chat and just slagging off the patriarchy and then slaying some people. You need that book. Don’t deny it.

Red Sister and Forest of A Thousand Lanterns

All of these are just me wanting various ladies to be friends. I feel like Nona and Xifeng would at least have some interesting things to say before they started trying to kill one another.

To Kill a Kingdom and Daughter of the Pirate King

To Kill A Kingdom Alexandra ChristoDaughter of the Pirate King Ticia Levenseller

Combining all the siren related books into one? Seems like an excellent idea to me! Again, I feel like a lot of murder would occur…

Rebel of the Sands and Six of Crows

Rebel of the Sands Alwyn HamiltonSix of Crows Leigh Bardugo

I think that this is possibly my favourite mental image – just the dregs showing up and through various means becoming part of overthrowing government. If you’ve read both of these I’m fairly sure you can see it happening too!

This was actually huge fun, what a great prompt! I can’t wait to see what everyone else puts down, but if you’re not doing ttt why not let me know which books you would mash together in the comments below! (If you have done a TTT post leave me a link and I’ll head on over and check it out!).
