Hello humans! Today’s TTT post is a ‘love’ freebie, so I thought I’d highlight 10 books which have a romance plot in them that doesn’t distract from the plot or take over everything. Put simply, 10 books that have romance but don’t suck!

Ha ha loved your title for this post! I would actually disagree on Daughter of Smoke and Bone, I was actually really enjoying it right up until the romance plot was introduced. Traitor To The Throne, yes the romance is good and doesn’t distract from the plot. And I Darken I struggled with, but the romance wasn’t really part of that.

I think for me, it’s the way the romance develops over the trilogy, it changes and it progresses. It’s also LARGELY for my favourite rabid fairy and violin man because let’s be honest they are relationship goals

I mean that’s fair, I haven’t actually read the rest of the books yet, so I don’t know where things go from here! Ah yes Zuze and Mik are adorable, can’t wait to read Night of Cake and Puppets!

I’ve only read Reign of the Fallen and I’m reading The Hazel Wood currently! I loved the romance in Reign of the Fallen though, it felt so much more real than most to me.
